Our luxury Photography Weekend is designed to improve your landscape photography skills while you relax in the glorious surroundings of Holbeck Ghyll and theLake District.

There is no better base than our luxury country house hotel to explore the stunning scenery that Cumbria and the Lake District enjoys in abundance and our guide will take you to the very best viewpoints before embarking on an in-depth masterclass.

The weekend break will begin at Holbeck Ghyll on Friday evening with pre-dinner drinks and canapés in one of the sumptuous lounges while our photography expert briefs you on the plan for the following day. You will then take your table in the beautiful oak-panelled restaurant overlooking Windermere and the fells to enjoy a memorable three -course Michelin Star meal.

On the Saturday morning guests will rise bright and early for fresh coffee and toast before setting out on the lake to capture the sunrise. Detailed instruction will then be given throughout the day to ensure guests can take advantage of the different lightings and times, while you’ll linger over a delicious packed lunch prepared by our award-winning chefs.

After all the fresh air, guests will return to the hotel on Saturday evening for a much-deserved Michelin-Starred dinner and drinks by the roaring log fire, before retiring for the night to one of the luxury rooms or suites. The weekend break will conclude on the Sunday, after a hearty breakfast of local produce or guests can extend their stay and make the most of our fabulous health spa facilities and perhaps indulge in a decadent Afternoon Tea.

You’ll not only go home full of ideas and with images to treasure, but relaxed and revitalised.
