Just four days to gain a lifetime of experience

Progressive companies are always seeking out exciting ways to unlock vital inspirational behaviours in their current or potential leaders. At Holbeck Ghyll, amongst the Lake District’s lush woodlands and imposing peaks, and with stunning views over Lake Windermere, companies can find out more about their key people than you would ever have thought possible.

Introducing The Leader Programme and its instructors

For up to four challenging days, a maximum of six people will be tested through a range of extraordinary outdoor activities. Leo Houlding, rated by the Daily Telegraph as one of Britain’s top ten adventurers, can take people far from their comfort zone. As a world famous free climber and base jumper he will find ways to test their skills and teamwork to the limit. Afterwards, he can draw parallels between leading in business and in expeditions.

Mark Eddy has spent over two decades trekking the wilds of the UK. He can share his rock climbing, scrambling and navigation experiences and skills whilst testing those of the people sharing his adventure.

Delegates will be taken off-road on a 4x4 team convoy challenge or safari experience around the Lake District National Park by Nick and Kate Fieldhouse. Finally, from the road to the water as Neil Crowther of OB Sailing offers demanding on-board challenges whether in Americas Cup style team races or a Lake Windermere Treasure Hunt.

Not just roughing it and toughing it

To balance the days filled with exertion come evenings full of luxury. Dinner is provided by head chef David McLaughlin in our restaurant which was awarded a Michelin star between 2000-2014. A night in a luxuriously comfortable bed, a barnstorming breakfast and Delegates are ready for their next challenge.

Of course, full meeting and debriefing facilities are included in any package. The above form the guidelines for companies to work with us to create their own unique Leader Programme. For more details simply call 01539 432 375.
