Let's start the New Year right ....

Holbeck Ghyll was built by Lord Lonsdale as a house in which to hold the most glamourous celebrations and we continue with that tradition to this day.

Join us for New Year and you'll arrive on December 31st.  Check in early and enjoy a day spent as you wish - just make sure you return in time for afternoon tea, served in the inglenook and lounges, where you will enjoy magnificent lake views and warming log fires.  You'll have a moment to linger over our champagne list to be sure we have your favourite bubbly chilled, ready for you to pop the cork at midnight.

Long before the clock strikes 12, you'll be invited to join us for an champagne reception which will set the mood for the New Year celebrations.  Head Chef David McLaughlin and his team will then serve a fabulous seven course black tie dinner, before you retire to a lounge to entertained by our magician and the sounds of our trio.  Then see in 2014, with Auld Lyne Syne, a champagne toast and the sounds of a piper.

You'll wake the next morning, not only to face 2014, but to enjoy a full English breakfast before being invited to join the Holbeck Ghyll New Years Day walk.  For those seeking a more leisurely day, vouchers can be provided for a relaxing cruise on Windermere or treatments can be taken in our spa.  On New Years Day, a hot lunch is served, with afternoon tea available later.  Then, in the evening, our traditional dinner menu is served, followed by a fabulous night at the Casino. 

The New Year Package includes two or three nights accommodation with breakfast and dinner each evening, depending on your chosen package, a New Years Day lunch, afternoon tea and cakes and all entertainments. 

2 night package; arriving on the 31st December 2013 and departing on the 2nd January 2014.

A Fell View Room costs from £600 per person, a Lake View Room from £660 per person, a Feature Room from £720 per person and a Suite from £760 per person. Miss Potter Suite is available at £800 per person.  Prices are based on double occupancy.

3 night package; arriving on 30th December 2013 and departing on the 2nd January 2014.

A Fell View Room costs from £750 per person, a Lake View Room from £835 per person, a Feature Room from £895 per person and a Suite from £960 per person. Miss Potter Suite is available at £1025 per person.  Prices are based on double occupancy.
