Gourmet Weekend

Friday 15th March until Sunday 17th March 2013

A food and wine lovers heaven! Our Gourmet Weekends usually sell out quickly so please book quickly. On Friday, you are welcomed with an afternoon tea followed by an interesting and revealing tasting of English Sparkling Wine compared with French Champagnes. For dinner, David McLaughlin has chosen 7 course Michelin Starred Gourmet Meal with accompanying wines chosen by our sommelier. You are welcome to enjoy this dinner a-deux or in the company of other bon-vivants on shared tables of six or eight. Saturday starts with a full Cumbrian breakfast to prepare your stomach for the task ahead. The hotel is given over to a celebration of local produce offering you the ability to sample and meet some of our local suppliers – ranging from Hawkshead Brewery to Agnes Rose Vinegars and Oils. In the afternoon we will be hosting another wine tasting, calling on the services of our Wine Supplier. Dinner is served at 8am and again can be taken on your own or with fellow like-minded souls. Sunday morning is probably best spent in bed – but for those that need to get away before 10am then breakfast will be available!
Our Gourmet Weekend Includes:

  • Two nights in one of our luxurious lake view rooms, full Cumbrian breakfast each morning and 7 course Gourmet Michelin Star dinner each evening including accompanying wines.
  • Afternoon tea on arrival
  • Two wine tastings.
  • Small Food Fair on Saturday.

Prices start from £220 per person per night in a classic fell view room, £250 per person per night in a lake view room, £275 per person per night in a feature room or £300 per person per night in one of our suites.
