Have yourself a merry little Christmas....

Christmas is one of the most magical times of the year in the English Lake District and at Holbeck Ghyll we celebrat ein the only way we know how - with Michelin Star feasts, fine wines, roaring fires and good company.

The team put a lot of thought and love into preparing the grounds for the festive period and you will recieve the warmest of welcomes when you arrive at Holbeck Ghyll on Christmas Eve.  The house party begins with a traditional afternoon tea served next to one of the open fires.  In the evening, as the atmosphere gather pace, you'll enjoy canapes while listening to the bellringers, followed by dinner taken at your leisure in the restaurant.

For those that wish, transport to a church service in one of the quaint neighbouring villages will be laid on and guests will return to hot chocolate (or hot toddies!) and mince pies fresh from the oven.

On Christmas morning, Father Christmas will greet guests as he hands out gifts from under the tree.  Following breakfast, you will have time to take a stroll around the manicured grounds or simply to relax and soak up the ambience.  Christmas Lunch will be served in the Oak Pannelled Restaurant and will be a feast of traditional dishes, beautifully prepared and presented.  After Lunch you may want to watch the Queen's Speech or try your hand at a boardgame beside the fire.  In the evening, our Chefs will present a gala buffet featuring the finest local produce.

After Breakfast on Boxing Day,our reception team will be happy to assist you as you plan your day - whether you fancy a Lakes Treasure Hunt, sales shopping in one of the local towns or joining our walk around the local fells to blow away the cobwebs.  A hot fork buffet lunch will be served in the lounges and inglenook with afternoon tea following hard on it's heels.

The party continues on Boxing Day evening with champagne cocktails served in the hall to the sound of a Saxophonist.  Dinner is followed by a casino in the Hall.  On the morning of the 27th, a late leisurely breakfast is served before we bid each other goodbye.

The Christmas Package includes four nights accommodation, dinner each evening and Christmas Day lunch, Boxing Day lunch, afternoon tea, cakes and all entertainment. 

 4 nights package; arriving 23rd December and departing 27th December 2012.

Prices are based on double occupancy of the rooms.  Single Occupancy rates are available.
