Antiques Weekend

The renowned expert in 18th century English Furniture, Nicholas Merchant, will head up Holbeck Ghyll’s winter antiques programme. With two special weekends planned during March and November, this is an ideal opportunity to understand more about the Arts and Crafts movement as well as the chance to bring along your favourite object d’art for discussion. The weekend includes two fascinating talks by your host Nicholas Merchant; “Linley the Continuing Tradition of English Cabinet-making” and “Plutocrats Houses of the English Lake District.” There is also the opportunity to visit the famous Lakeland Arts Trust Blackwell House and a local family-run Cabinet-maker. Our antiques programme includes three nights’ accommodation with breakfast, afternoon tea, Michelin star dinner, and the services of Nicholas as your resident expert.

11th – 14th March 2011. Prices from £150.00 per person, per night.
